2003 silverado window question

I have a 2003 Silverado 1500 base work truck with manual windows. The cable that raises and lowers the window wrapped around itself (I have no idea how) and broke. I need to replace the unit that the handle connects to. The only parts I can find online is for window regulators (manual too), and the unit repair manual I have (complete set from Helms) only addresses electric windows.

Does anyone know:
1. What exactly this part is called?
2. Is it something I can get on online?
3. Have you seen any instructions on how to replace it?

I don't want to drill out rivets, or bang stuff up guessing at how it comes apart.

Any help would be appreciated.
