I'm trying to drop my spare and it drops about 6 inches and stops. The spare will swing back and forth and the cable continues to drop but the tire won't go any lower even with the cable all the way to the pavement. Any ideas?
a lot of dealerships will install a spare tire lock(cable type) and if the spare is dirty it can be hard to see. it will run trough the wheel and around the cross-member that holds the spire. hope this helps
