hi folks,
new here but have been reading quietly for a while.

now I have a problem i'm told with the traction control....

it seems its the u-joints banging when taking off or coasting down.

up on lift I see no problems with the joints, even removed shaft for closer
inspection. all is good there, rear end has minor slack in play same as others
I have checked.

local shop says traction control problem......not a chevy dealer, so i'm
asking for opinions if anyone has experienced similar problems.

thank you, great site here !!!

do you have a traction control or abs light on?
no broken transmission mount or engine mount?

I had a "burb" that did the same thing and almost gave up trying to find the source of the "clank" when I slowed down or sped up. Turned out to be very simple fix, and cost nothing but a few minutes of my time. The yoke on the driveshaft slides on the tailshaft of gear box or transmission output shaft every time you stop or take off since the rear axle rolls forward or backward a little each time.

Fix? Took driveshaft out and used my finger to put axle grease into the splines of the yoke on driveshaft, not much but just a coating in the splines. No more binding and fixed the whole problem.
Amazing.
FYI:)
