Thanks for the post but what is it you are trying to accomplish by stating you need a socket? Are you asking what the size is?

Thanks for the reply. I need the size and where to buy from. I've been to several auto parts stores and no one seems to know what type or size. My Avalanche is a 2003 Z71 1500. I've read in another forum that the back two nuts on the drivers seat i'm replacing are a different size than the front. Do you know what type and sizes are needed? Thanks so much!

I believe they are torx nuts and one site claimed using a 15 mm deep socket on the front and a 7/16" deep socket on the rear removed them.
