2002 Honda civic or 2007 chevy cobalt?

Iv been looking for a long time and I know civics are usually prefered over cobalts but what about an older Honda vs a newer chevy? I can get them both for around the same price but I'm not sure what would be better? I love both of them and if anyone could help or give me their insight I'd be very thankfull

plz dont get the civic i hate those fartpackers and i c them like every minute! just plz do not get the civic get the cobalt ALOT better looking i dont rlly like 4cylinders but the ss with the turbo 4 actually aint to bad the style is pretty cool looking and u get decent hp plus even with a standard cobalt u get alot more hp then some civic and plus american made cars are ALOT better made
