2002 Cavalier 2.2 SFI - In storage 6 years now gas pump shutting off

I understand this may be related to the EVAP system, but I really do not want to go to a mechanic for this if possible.

I checked the hose from the charcoal box to the valve on the right rear, no blockage.

1" Ribbed plastic line coming off top of the tank, "seems" ok.

No codes! Car is not throwing PO443 or anything.

Did you do a fuel pressure test?
Are you using fresh gasoline?

Car had quarter tank old gas. Added first gas but pump kept shutting off. Would not know how to do a fuel pressure test.

You rent the pressure tester and the parts store should be able to tell you how to hook it up.
