2001 Silverado Heater Core

Hi all,
I have a bad heater core on my truck. I'm getting ready to replace it myself. Has anyone out their ever done this job? If so I would like some feedback as to what it takes to do the job. Maybe some shortcuts or any helpful information.

Your in for a hell of a job!!! Hope you have some experience and a lot of patience because it's about an 8 hour job or more depending on your skill for someone the first time around. You have to take the dash completely out. One piece of advice I can give you is take your time putting it all back. Damn sure dont want to have to tear it all back out to do it a second time if it's not right. It's not that it's hard physically, just time consuming. Good luck and git er done!!
