2001 Corvette engine code 410

I just bought a 2001 Corvette Coupe. I drove it for a little while and the check engine light came on. The code that came up was 0410, or what I researched was an air pump failure code. I've been doing some looking in the internet and came up with some other things that might have caused it or be wrong.

What I really wanted to know is, has anyone else been through this and is there anything I should look at before just ordering a new air pump or valve? If anyone has been through this and has some words of wisdom, that would be great.

My wife's 2000 Pontiac Grand Am just popped up the same code. The vacuum line to the secondary air control valve had become disconnected due to a bad rubber connector. I replaced the connector, installed the line, cleared the code and Mary is on the road again...watch out Arizona
