I recently had a rebuilt 700r4 transmission put into my 2001 Chevy Tahoe LT. Soon after the work was done I drove it home and parked it. About 5 minutes later I came out to take it for another spin and reverse would not engage. I put it into park again and once again into reverse, nothing. So I went though the gears and back to reverse and it engaged. I drove it and it seemed perfect. Then it did the same thing the following morning. From the first thing in the morning or whenever I park it and get in to drive it reverse will periodically not engage. Can somebody give me some info on what is happening. My friend that installed the tranny seems to be baffled as well. I have a 1 year warranty on the transmission, is the transmission bad. Any feedback would be much appreciated.
