2001 chevy silverado tune up and checkup suggestions.?

I have a 2001 chevy silverado with 137000 miles on it. i just bought it and it is running fine. I would like to get a tune up and find out how to get more power out of it. also, what are some common problems that these trucks have at this mileage that i should check out besides regular maintenance?

Spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter thats about it for a good tuneup. Unless it has a missfire, i would not change the ignition wires or any coils. If you are looking to keep this truck in sound condition, i would not suggest any add-ons for additional power. Perhaps a cat-back exhaust would be the extent of any modifications if this is a must. You could also have it geared lower, increasing power but worsening gas mileage and top speed. At this mileage, a transmission service is due and the filter should be changed.
