hey all just joined the group so any help will be appreciated. my 2001 suburban 2500 with the 8.1L monster has the autoride i didnt know what it was when i bought it now I cant stand it but like it at the same time, anyway i have noticed when the service ride support illuminates on the dash the rear ac stops working and the front ac is kinda crap and doesn’t perform well. I have tried a little diagnostic myself but no luck with the TopDon scanner it doesn’t tell me anything what have you all experienced with this system. I have little kids and we drove quite a long ways on the interstate with crappy ac in 90 degree day and a stinky dog haha was not enjoyable, funny thing is when i hit a bump all of a sudden the light went out and everything came back like it was normal. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Topdon seems to have many different scanners and you would have to check with them if your model is capable of reading codes for the Autoride system. I cannot imagine a connection between that and your AC. Have you used a gauge set to check high and low pressure?

I have done a little digging and found some people claiming there is some kind of connection that stops the rear ac its been a crazy long week for me so im still trying to figure something out. the AC works great when the light is off its the most bazar thing gm could have devised. Unfortunately i dont have gauges for air conditioning thank you for the reply

some how I got my topdon to read a code u1056 Loss of Communications with RSS does anyone know the location of this module so i can test or use a hammer haha

Not sure if it applies to your vehicle but look underneath behind spare tire.
