I recently purchased a 2000 Suburban and was told it was in good shape, two days later the battery was dead. I got a new battery, installed it and in two days it was dead, parasitic draw was my first thought, checked out every fuse I could find under hood and in interior fuse panel on left of dash, nothing. I ran the vin number and found out it came with a v8 and now has an inline six, the wiring harness plugged into the interior fuse panel that is visible on the lower left of the panel has most of the wires taped up but the connections were soldered and solid. My question is, is there more wires hooked up on the v8 then on the inline six and could they have been terminated in the harness somewhere or what could be causing the draw, I found what looks like a thick rubber covered washer in the fender well and cannot figure out where it was, it has a sticky thin rubber coating on it. I like the older (pre computer ) trucks and am not familiar with all these electronics, can someone please help me, I'm losing my mind. I'm a 58 yr old disabled vet and cannot afford to purchase another vehicle. Please Help !!!
