A couple of weeks ago I could start the engine but it would start slowly for about 3 to 4 cranks then it would run fine. And later on, I would try to start it again and all I hear is clicking noises.

At first, I thought it was the starter motor or battery, so I replaced them both.

With the new battery and starter motor installed; I try starting it again and I get nothing! no sound..nothing....What could this be?

A faulty part. Check the battery voltage. I would check the starter solenoid and see if it is shorted. If the engine was clicking the starter motor was not bad in the first place. It was the battery.

oaky usually that noise means that your battary is dead. so okay you changed the battary and starter so you dont have to worry about them. when you installed them did it ever start? if not you probable mixed a wire, not that hard to do. go back and check your work. if it did start and tehn wouldnt later on like the next day, then your alternator didnt charge the battary, so you killed it when you drove it, if the alternator is bad the light that looks like a battary will come on when the car engine is on.
