2 1997 crew cab questions

1st. Are the driver door internal parts the same on a 3500 and 2500? Like the inside door handle mechanism and the rods that connect to the latch?

2nd. Are the tail gate parts the same on 3500 and 2500. Like the external handle and the rods that open the tail gate latches?

you could either try www.gmpartsdirect.com to see if they still have a listing for that year or a local junk/savage yard should have an interchange guide, not sure if it goes down to that fine a detail.

I'm NOT a mechanic, but I would think so. Seems like the difference between the two would be more in the suspension for weight ratings than in body parts.
