1999 chevy suburban engine help?

im removing the engine from my 1999 chevy suburban, but im stuck. i need to disconnect the transmission from the block, i have already removed all of the wires and pipes and anything that could be in my way, if someone could help me find a "how to" video or detailed instructions (maybe some pictures), that would be very helpful. and a couple of tips or pointers (maybe from experience) would be nice too.
this might help…. the reason im taking the engine out is because i blew a head gasket and im replacing the piston rings. the engine is full of water or fluid. if i remove the engine from the transmission will spill oil and water everywhere

The transmission is held to the engine by a set of bolts around the bellhousing. Also, there are 3 short bolts you have to remove from the torque converter or else, you will take the torque converter out with the engine and possibly not clear the transmissions input shaft and damage components. Once you remove all those bolts, the transmission should be able to be dislodged from the motor.

Torque converter bolts, if you don't, you'll have a lot of trany fluid on the floor. AND a new torque converter seal. You may want to replace this any ways.

Jack under the trany to hold weight of trany? Got all the trany bolts? Some are bear to get / reach / get out. A lot of extensions & some swivels. Starter? Check & recheck, that you got all the wires? Sometimes, there is some oddball ground strap.

Shake the motor sideways, to get the locater, dowel pins to separate. There is one, on each side of the motor. Sometimes there are really stuck. Sometimes, they are stuck so bad, you have to pry the motor / trany apart.The motor has to go forward, then up, to get it out. If the motor & trany is moving together, something is still there, holding them together. .
