I have a 1999 Silverado 1500 with a 5.3 in it. When I bought it, it needed a fuel pump assembly (cause of the check engine light and fuel gauge not working properly) so I went ahead and did it. The day after I got the truck back, the check engine light came back on. I took it back to the shop, and they said the system was running lean on two banks. The truck runs like crap when first started, but after stomping the gas it seems to work itself out. Occasionally it feels sluggish. I replaced the fuel filter also. Where should I start attacking this? Testing the fuel injection?
