Went to start car one day and key wouldnt turn.. no matter what i tried!! would not turn.. I read some other people had luck by tapping and such but for me it would not turn.. like it was the wrong key but isnt!!

Anyways I had to drill it out and I will pass along how I did it!!

first off DONT DRILL THE KEY AREA, its unnecessary..

Drill at the 5 o'clock position of the lock cylinder.. just below the right side where the key goes in.. drill there and be careful not to drill the plastic outer housing!!!!!

here is a couple pics to show.. I drilled about 2 inches 2 /1/4 inches deep til i reached the pin that sticks out that holds the cyl in place!!

2nd pic

once you drill pull out the old cylinder pull it out with a pair of pliers.. look to see if the metal piece that holds the cylinder is clear, (i used a pair of pliers to pull it thru the bottom) then reach inside with your finger and turn the plastic piece to 1 or 2 oclock position, then insert new cylinder... jiggle til it sets and new pin sits in the hole! THERE ARE YOUTUBE VIDEOS THAT SHOW YOU! if it doesnt set and pin doesnt sit in hole then you wont be able to remove key, but lock cylinder will still slide in and out as it wont lock into place..
