1993 Corvette problems

Problem # 1-The air conditioner compressor cycles constantly and the on/off switch on the instrument panel does not turn it off, any suggestions?

Problem # 2-When slowing down to stop at a red light, etc. the transmission downshifts through all of the gears almost like downshifting a standard shift. Is this normal?

Did you just buy this car? What do you have the climate controls set for. In certain positions the A/C will come on such as defrost or defog. All automatics downshift as the vehicle slows, is it downshifting hard?
