I have a 1993 Chevy Silverado with a 4.3l v6. I drove it 4 miles to school, 4 miles back, then 4 miles to school, 1 mile to my gf's house, then 1-2 miles to lunch. In total, I have started the truck 6 times and the first 5 yielded no problems.
On the 6th start up the check engine light was on and I had maybe 1/4 normal acceleration. Thought it was the tranny so i kicked it into neutral and it revved up to 2100 rpm's. Normal idle is like 1500 max.
Brought it right home and started it up out of gear and in park and it was revving at 2100 constantly. Dumped 1/2 a can of air cleaner in and nothing. Engine torques way over when moving from drive to neutral but i think thats because its running at 2100 rpm.
Can anyone help me with this?
