1993 Chevy k1500 no start bad crank sound

Redid a few things on a 1993 350 small block and now it cranks over but have won’t start, have fuel and believe I have compression as well as I don’t know if I have spark but the crank noise does not sound right either I have no idea.

What does redid a few things mean?
Did it run before you did whatever it was?
Why can't you tell if you have spark?
What did you do that would make you wonder about compression?
