I have a 91 chevy silverado, with a 350 automatic transmission. I changed the starter a couple of months ago, and things have been fine, but yesterday afternoon, I went out to start it up, and all it would do was turn over. It never fired. I know, or atleast I am sure I am getting fuel, so I don't think its in the fuel system. But now all I am getting is a fast clicking noise, no cranking at all, so I am assuming that it must be something electrical, like an alternator, or the starter again, I don't know, but I know that I have the use of all my accesories, power windows, locks, radio, all that jazz, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know, and please dont say fuel pump, I really dont need that right now, and cannot afford it!

The first priority should be to get the starter motor cranking again.

Always check the battery first.
The clicking noise is a classic symptom of a weak battery.
Also do a visual inspection of your connections between the battery and the starter - maybe something loosened.

If you can get the starter motor cranking over again and the engine still doesn't start, then let us know.

buy a haynes book and go thru step by step troubleshooting starting the truck.
go to autozone to borrow a code tester that will give you the code to see what is wrong. look up the code in the haynes book.
you need fuel pressure, air, and spark for the car to start.

Well, the first thing you need to do is get the battery charged(that's why it's just clicking). If you don't have a charger, the auto parts store will do it for free. You need to check the connection on your battery and starter. How do you know your truck is getting fuel, you seem pretty positive? Check if your truck is getting spark by taking a spark plug wire off and holding it close to the spark plug while turning it over. If there is spark, back to fuel system. If there is no spark check coils and crank shaft position sensor. Not likely the alternator,
