Hi All. I just joined, and I have a few questions. I am 18 years old and I am going to buy a truck as soon as I get my license. I love the 1990 suburbans, from their looks, and the great reviews I see from people who have owned them for years online. I have some questions, if anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it! I will use it for towing my boat, and commuting from school and back (approx 1/2 to an hour drive)

1) What is the MPG on the street + highway?
2)What is the interior seats made of and is it comfortable?
3) What are the safety crash test ratings on this truck?
4)What is the amount of maintenance that should go into keeping a Suburban running well? I heard that maintenance is easy, and parts these days are cheap for this model.
5) Towing. I own this boat, 23' Chris Craft Stinger go-fast boat, would it be able to pull it on a duel axle trailer?

6)What is the amount of space in the back with the 3'rd row not in place?

Thanks!!! Also, if anyone has a large amount of pictures of this truck, with good quality photos of the interior, please let me know.

15mpg I had a 1990 chevy suburban 1500 4x4 5.7 towing a 30 foot donzi highway.Plus I had a 1985 GMC suburban 2500 with the 6.2 diesel 2wd 28mpg drive local not towing. Then when long haul was getting 19mpg towing my 30 foot donzi highway. Loved both trucks diesel got better fuel mpg long haul but the 4x4 was better when going local with the 4x4 was great pulling boat out of water on the slipper ramps.

Safety was great never totaled it but was hit in a couple of time easy to fine parts. crash test are very good on these trucks do to there very well made.

Just do the oil changes and the trans service they will run for ever.

Seating my 90 was buckets and very nice the 85 was bench and still very nice seats. both were cloth.

towing you can go up too about 35 foot boat rv trailer 30 footer. they were great towing.
