...tanks located at.? I just put 40 bucks worth of gas in one tank and it shut off...put some gas in the other tank and i got it started....just got the thing..also is the fuel guage rigged to both tanks or just one...also is the second tank a reserve or do they but feed the engine, if so, a switch would not be necessary...what the deal?
1987 Chevy Silverado....it has 2 gas tanks where is the switch to change...

There is a black rocker switch on the lower part of the dash near the ashtray. If I remember correctly, up is left side, down is right side. Gauge shows level of which ever side you are switched to. If you bump the switch to the middle position it can also shut off the fuel supply.
