I have a 1988 Chevy 1500 Suburban body that's in exceptional condition but it needs a frame. I have the opportunity to buy a very good frame, including axles, that came off a 1987 GMC 2500 Suburban. The question is: can the '88 body be put on the '87 frame? I suspect it would fit, why would GM make two different body styles for the 1/2 ton and the 3/4 ton, but I don't know for sure.
Any thoughts?
