1986 camaro v6 mpfi dies while idling onboard comp. says tps but tps is new?

will run while throttle is at about 50% but dies if foot is off gas. ideas?

Sounds like you have trash in carb get a can of carb. cleaner spray it in while running the engine make smoke some but don wrong it will stop it cleans a lot of things out to! You having messed with the wires on dist have you maybe one nock out check timing. May also be water in fuel.check vaccum lines to.
