I have a 1985 K10 Suburban and have 2 problems yet which I need to resolve or get some help with.
The first thing is every now and again my choke light would come on when starting the vehicle. Once in awhile the truck wouldnt even start up unless i messed with the carb choke heater wire or let it sit for a bit and then it would start. But the local mechanic here said he would fix it..not hes a friend and is good a rigging things up haha..well he disconnected something inside the carb choke and now it starts up 95 percent of the time without a problem but the choke light still comes on and it occasionally takes a bit to start it, Basically my question is what part i need to replace? Is it the heater wire or is it the choke thermostat or what. I cant seem to find the whole choke unit unless I get a new carb.
2nd thing is on my dash the only thing that is work on the gauges is the fuel gauge and the clock...no speepo gauge or temp gauges are working..checked all fuses and such and not sure what the problem would be...any ideas would be great.
Thanks
Scott
