14 silverado bad gas mileage

I have had my new truck for three weeks now and after the dealer did the recalls my mileage fell from 19 down to 14.5 has anybody else had this problem? I have 1350 miles on it. the dealer said I had to put 5000 before they will look at it. Can anybody give me any advice on this problem

If it were mine, I'd just disconnect the battery ground cable for a couple of minutes and see if that resets the computer. Sometimes it's just that simple. And I have to call BS on that dealership. My new Chrysler 200 has gotten pretty much the same mpg since the day I drove it off the lot. 5,000 miles my butt! I think I'd find a new dealership to deal with, or at least call a couple of others and see about that mileage statement.

Personally my experience with new vehicles, the mileage does increase after multiple thousands of miles. In your case you cannt judge at 1350 miles and not sure which version you have 4wd, 2wd , there are three different engines. What is the mpg on the window sticker? Are you driving mainly local roads? Has the temperature dropped? Have you correctly set the tire pressure on cold tires?
