Our suburban is having some issues. First, it started cranking for a prolonged period. Usually takes two to three tries to get it to start, then it has a mildly rough idle for about 5 seconds. After about five days of that, we we hit the road for about a 500 mile trip. About 15 miles in the Stabilitrak/TC service light came on. Also said systems were off. When that happened I also noticed the truck switched to 4 high. If I manually turned the selector to 2 high it stayed in 2WD. But if I turned it back to auto it would switch to 4 high.
Over the course of the trip the trains would shift hard from 1st to 2nd, but only when the Stabilitrak/TC light was on. It would go off for about 5 min and then come right back on.
The truck has about 111K on it and we've been lucky enough to not have any issues so far. I checked alternator output voltage (14.5v) and cleaned the TB. I've read it could be a BCM, but it seems like this type of problem is common and people have had various fixes.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
