06 Trailblazer 4.2 P0017

Good morning been battling engine codes for a while now. Started with a P0014, p0017, and a po128.

Replaced vvt, still showed same codes, replaced crankshaft position sensor, same. Replaced thermostat got rid of the 128.

Replaced VVT again, now I am only showing the P0017. Have gone to autozone and have had them reset the codes. after the third cold start engine light comes back on showing P0017.

Thinking of attempting a hard reset, or replacing the camshaft position sensor. any other ideas?

Are Dormans just crap? Should i just order from GM?

I was going to ask what brand you are using, I would go with the GM/Ac Delco. I would also carefully look at the wiring harness.
