06 Malibu Maxx Driver Fender/front bumper cover replacement

So someone slow swipes the driver side front fender and deforms the front left corner bumper cover. For the past 30 years I've done 90% of any repair work to my car. I've taken houses apart and put them back together ... so I have the tools.

some qts:

** Replacing driver side front fender -
1. Do I have to take the door off to remove fender bolts from the door jam?
2. Is the fender welded onto the body at all, is it just a matter of locating all the bolts?
3. any step by step instructions , Web links, etc. you can point me to?

*** Replacing bumper cover ... anything crazy difficult about this?

I'm hoping someone who has done this before would please read this and respond.

heres a link to a slightly newer model but youtube is the best source for DIY
1. I cannot image you have to remove the door to take a fender off.
2. They bolt on.
