I am trying to replace the right side axle shaft in my 06 2.0 SE, both aftermarket shafts I have gotten are about an inch shorter than the one that has been removed.
Length on the new shaft 23 1/16, if I lay the old one next to the new its about an inch or so longer.
I have tried the ol', eff it lets try but it will definitely not work.
Dealer says special order part, unknown length, no return prepaid.

Anybody have the same problem, or better yet a solution.
Thanks
Tom

Yes sorry, SS.
I did purchase for a manual trans, I thought originally I either told them the wrong side or they gave me the wrong side. Got both from Napa part # NMD 959325.

I did look online and it says that the automatic is 33" long, way to big.

I have asked quite a few other retailers local and on the web for info but have not received any information. I have not owned since new so history is unknown.

its available from www.gmpartsdirect.com for $198.46 + shipping part# 155776325 I would buy the GM part.

If you look up the part yourself on the NAPA site that part # 959325 is described this way

IMPORTANT INFO: Transfer Inner Stub Shaft From Original Axle to Replacement CV Axle.

The correct axle might be 955322, measure the old one, go back to NAPA and try to get the right part and verify it yourself in their book/screen Beaware you are buying remanufactured parts
