05' intermittent loss of dash lights

So, a few days ago, our 2005 LS started losing ALL lights on dash(except the low tire indicator)
Comes & goes now, with nothing in common when it happpens.
Radio will keep working, etc just no lights.
I'm thinking a fuse wouldn't be at fault, though I haven't changed it..
It would be unusual if that were at fault, would it not?

Is there any history to this issue on these beasties?

fuses blow, they don't cause intermittent problems. Could be a fuse box connection issue or a ground issue in the dash or a bad cluster among other things. Unfortunately with intermittent problems tracing them down can be difficult.
