I have Chevy Cobalt 05' engine is solid. When i bought it at 110,000 miles all was good, well i used Synthetic Max life oil because well heard it was good for Orings and stuff to not dry out. well after about 8 months of owning it, car was ticking.. No oil light, so i decided to check the oil, i wiped the dip stick and put it back in No oil on the dip stick?!? o_O so i went to autozone and here it took 3 quarts to take it to the mark!!! wow.. well now 1,000 later ticking again, and i checked oil and theres is nothing on the dipstick !? Now i put the car up on a rack and there is NO leaks anywhere not even a minor one, engine is sealed on exterior well.. and even when i start car in morning little puffs of smoke but over in a 5 seconds.. not enough to see it as it evaporates quickly. Now im checking oil when car is Hot running for hours, and the coolant tank was empty this time, might be cause its in the engine since i just shut it off.. but where is the oil?? any idea's on what i can look for .. Thank you!

those cars was notorious for wearing the valve guides out in them and causing that to happen and sometimes replacing the valve stem seals wouldn't stop that from happening, have a shop check it and do a leak down test on it to see if it has worn valve guides in it,the smoke your seeing from it right now is the oil being burnt in the cylinders from it leaking through the valve stem seals, good luck with it,

have you checked ur spark plugs for oil? does it smoke from the exhaust? if so u may have bad rings or bad valve guids.
