I have an 02 Silverado 5.3L with 111,000 miles that missfires and runs really rough first thing in the morning, especially on really cold mornings. It runs better after it has warmed up but I still can feel it missfire. Ocassionally the lights will dim in and out when im sitting at a stop light. I took it to the Chev dealership and they told me it was my MAF sensor which I replaced myself for a much, much cheaper price. Put a new battery in it a couple of months ago and I also changed my plugs and ignition wires but the problem persists. I used fuel injector cleaner twice, once on a full tank of gas and once on a half tank. Air filter is clean... still having problems. What step should I take next? Could a faulty battery cause this to happen? Any advice?

Thanks

Now I have replaced the coolant temperature sensor... no deal on a fix. What should I do next? Engine Control Module or Electric Ignition Module?

It was my intake gaskets!! Took it to a local garage here in Ottawa. They diagnosed it in about an hour. Useless tits at the dealership (Chev West) coudnt even figure that out.

Hope this might help others out with similar problems.
