Hello
I just replaced both my front lower control arms.
Driver side went well. I thought it came apart too easy.
I just unbolted the rear control arm bolt first. left it loose.
Loosened the lower ball joint. Then the front control arm bolt.
Then I removed the sway bar nut & brake sensor line.
I also replaced the tie rod.
Bolted all back together.
Now for the drivers side.
Broke the rear bolt almost right away.
Then the tie rod on this side was bad!. Could not get the bolt off.
Had to cut it off. Then I loosened the ball joint & front control arm bolt.
I removed all the bolts. The rear bolt broke toward the head.
This bolt is about 8" long.
I tried to pound the bolt up, No luck.
I also tried to push it up with a jack. just lifted the car.
I ended cutting The arm off where the rear bushing is.
Cut & poked the rubber off. Then tuned the inner sleeve with a pipe wrench.
The bolt then pushed up with the jack.
I pushed the bolt up as fare as would go. I then cut the bolt.
Went threw several sawzal blades.
Got the upper nut off, then pushed the cut bolt part down & out the hole.
I had to heat the bolt stud to get the nut back.
Then put it back together, + the New tie rod.
Done!
