Truck has 8.1L V8 It keeps shutting off on me. When I try to restart I have to wait a few minutes Bfor it will start. Have been told it could be the crank position sensor. If it is a sensor shouldn't I get a check engine light?
Yes if it was a bad sensor you would get a engine light. I think it's the fuel pump, this would explain why you have to wait. The fuel pressure has to build back up. The problem can also lie in your injectors. If you know a mechanic have them check out your fuel supply system.
