This Malibu is high-milage, almost 200,000 so I know and expect some parts are starting to go. Over the past couple of months though, I have been keeping track of my milage, and at the start I was getting about 17 MPG or so and that seemed low. The milage dropped to around 15.5 to 15, and it would misfire after starting after about a minute or so, then smooth out, but still idle a little rough. I replaced my spark plugs, and it seems to be idling smoother, and it's not misfiring when starting. The problem is that now I'm only getting 13 MPG.
I had my codes read just before I replaced the plugs, and aside from 3 misfires, I was getting a bad Fuel Level switch. So, no relavent codes.
Does anyone have any suggestions for things to check/how to check them. I know I have a broken vac line (white comes from the top of the intake, don't know where it goes), and it's jerry-rigged for now, I can't feel any pull when i wrap my hand around it.
