Attention, early adopters!
Scout Maps is now available on the Play Store in your 2022-2024 Silverado with Google built-in and we’re looking for your feedback. We’ve rolled out new features not found in Google Maps and would like to know what you think about them (see below). Please download the app, give it a try and post about what you liked and/or didn’t like. Thanks!
1.) Safer Navigation
Route calculations in Scout Maps consider the complexity of maneuvers and the risks associated with them, and provide a Safer Route option that will, for example, attempt to minimize left turns at dangerous intersections. The app will also indicate upcoming changes in the speed limit so the driver is aware that they will need to slow down ahead.
2.) Driving Insights
Our studies have found that some drivers will improve their behavior if they better understand it, so with that in mind, Scout Maps tracks driving events (such as Rapid Acceleration and Hard Braking) during a trip and assigns a score based on the number and type of events that occurred.
