Try to makes this as short as I can. Started with hard to start and running rough. After initial inspection I found one of the spark plug wires was shorting out onto the block. Replaced the wire and starts right up and ran great. Problem solved. Then it started to do the same thing about a week after so I went ahead and finished up installing all the other plug wires and found another one that had split and looked like was shorting out also. After that, no change. Still hard to start and running rough but now after a few cranks my battery would drop volts and crank to slow to start. Charged battery and tried again. No start and battery dropped volts again. I installed new cap and rotor and ignition coil. Didn't do the plugs cause they were not that old. Same thing, cranks but won't start and volts drop on my battery after only a few cranks and cranks to slow to start. Fuel pump is working. Any ideas? Could my battery have a bad cell and that's the reason for no start? Any help would be much appreciated!

Did you test for spark?
Did you a fuel pressure test?

Yeah checked spark but no fuel pressure test. Just made sure the fuel pump was working. Can't I get a fuel pressure tester from harbor freight that's fairly good without braking the bank?

Rent one from an auto parts store
