I have acquired a '99 Suburban that has been rolled and thoroughly roached. The only windows not broken are the rear doors!😅 The engine and drivetrain in general is in great shape and it runs like a top! I am going to commit a heresy with it and frame over a '66 C-20 onto this chassis. Well, that's what I'm scheming at the moment.:devilish: Yes, my plan is to keep the '66 chassis and maybe rebuild it later. It has a big-block Vortex motor in it and I am hoping to get this to function without the computer. Is that possible? Are there wiring harnesses available that will do this? The old '66 needs a new wiring harness anyway, so no problem with that. Any ideas?

What are you going to use for an induction system, a carburetor? Are you going to use a 700R4 transmission?

I was hoping to leave the engine largely stock. I believe it currently is set up for fuel injection. I have no idea which tranny this currently has except that it's 4wd. I don't know how much the computer is involved with the tranny, if at all. I'm kinda hoping this vintage has no computer involvement with the tranny. There are electric switches in the dash though, which is a bad sign in that respect.

By the by, thank you for the quick reply.
