Running lights

My Rear Running Lights are not working. I checked the fuses and they seem fine. My brake lights are good as are all the other lights. When I shut the car off the headlights remain on and the running lights come on, but while driving they are off even with the headlights on. It does not appear to be the bulbs as both went out at the same time.

Any ideas on what else to check?

Do you have the headlight control switch set to Auto?

I have tried it in auto and set it to on, same result.

Then diagnostics would have to be run starting at any relay dedicated to those lights, followed by a light control module if present and the body control module.

I tried resetting the computer by disconnecting the battery terminal but still no effect.

Any luck on finding the solution? I am currently having the same issue on a 2019.

I finally brought it in to a GM dealer. They found a short in the fuse box. $1,400 later it is fixed.
