Broken u joint

So I just replace front and rear u joints on my 2004 Chevy 1500. When i removed the rear ujoint I noticed that one side was broke off and assumed this was why I was needing to replace u joints. Since replacing Ive only driven truck twice. When i went to drive it today I noticed fluid under rear of truck . So i got under truck and thats when I noticed that one side of ujoint was broke again..What would cause this to happen? Any help would be grateful. Thanks

What does fluid have to do with U-joint, is it differential fluid?
Is the yoke bent?
Did you have trouble installing the u-joint?

As for fluid it was what made me take notice and look under truck. Yoke is not bent and it was not hard to put u joint in

I dont have part number but the brand is moog. And I suppose i should have been more specific when i said " broke" ,what I meant as in broke was one of the caps is gone and theres a chunk missing and can see where it hits the yoke. If that helps any. Thanks for responding

Didn't the new u‐joint come with snap rings to hold the cap into the yoke?
Sounds like the ring wasn't seated and the cap popped out.
Did you check the groove where the ring seats?

Yes it came with the clips. And you cld be right but i know i cleaned out the grooves before putting new u joint in and checked it to be sure that they were in the grooves. Perhaps i didnt check it well enough.So then would i need to get a neq yoke ?

Depends on the condition of the groove the ring snaps into. Clean the groove with something pointy using a spray solvent.

Sorry for the late response,I work 2 jobs and get busy. I did that the first time maybe just not good enough but gonna wrk on it this weekend,I hope. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my issue
