I have a 2017 Chevy Impala LT my issue is the rear view mirror is not dimming I have power and ground at the connector on both sides of it so I suspected it was the mirror ordered another one and that one doesn't work either has anybody had this issue. getting power from the reverse switch everything checks out wire wise but it doesn't work bench tested both mirrors powering ground it dims quickly just doesn't work on car

Is the light sensor built into the mirror?

Yes I found the issue, I installed L.E.D bulbs in my reverse lights these where keeping that circuit alive somehow I don't know but they where on all the time very faintly remove those put the old incandescent one back and now the mirror works fine. Very weird when I checked that circuit at the mirror it would cut on and off as I switched from p to r these new cars are crazy sensitive who would have think it would interfere with the mirror. I had been chasing a parasitic draw that was it also be careful with those aftermarket l e d s

It's incredible how many people have different issues after installing LEDs, glad you resolved the problem.
