1996 k1500 5.7 Ignition Advance -20

Afternoon Everyone,

I’ve been having a issue for a month or so now that I can’t figure out. On my 5.7 I have a misfire on cylinder 3 and my ignition advance is showing -20. Haven’t driven it since we got this reading. So far I have replaced:
Knock sensor, Plugs, Wires, Distributor, Cap, Rotor button, cam sensor, crank sensor, all vacuum lines, map sensor, purge, ignition coils, egr valves, spider injector, and a few other things. Distributor was set correctly and the compression was good. So i’m at a lost. Hoping you guys had some ideas.

Engine wouldn't run.
Do you have a check engine light on?
If so what are the codes, only P0303 or others?
Are you using a scan tool to set timing?

That’s what I thought. I hooked 4 different scanner to it including my buddies snap on versa pro and they all read it between -16&-20. Even got a read of -30 under load which made zero sense. The check engine like is on but the only code that its showing is the P0303. P0300 was showing but went off after replacing the knock sensor. We were using an inductive timing gun, I came in at the very end of that particular job so I didn’t really have a hand in setting it. Mostly my dad and brother. My best guess is they somehow screwed up the camshaft offset. Would that mess up the code readers live data readings? I’m taking the distributor we initially got out as soon as I have time and replacing it with the MSD street fire distributor I got today.

Why would the camshaft offset have changed?
Are you checking timing with the electronic advance disconnected?
