I am advised to change the timing chain at 115,000 miles

I bought a Malibu. I live in NYC.
Now at 115,000 miles, I am advised to change the timing chain, and the water pump, while they're at it.
It will cost $400 in parts and $660 in labor. Almost a thousand dollars.
Parts -RockAuto, labor -AMG Motors Jose Jimenez.
Would you do it. It runs perfectly.
The mechanic showed me slow leaks of oil and anti-freeze that to him indicates it is time to do it.
Does anybody know what a Chevy dealership would charge?

For a slow leak of oil and water you dont change a timing chain. If you hear a noise indicating wear you change it.
Get a second opinion from a independent shop.
Ask the dealer for a price.

Thank you! That inspired me to look up my previous Chevy a '99 Cavalier.
It had a timing chain, and I never changed it! I drove it 76,000 mi/
I drove it from 110,000 mi to about 186,000 mi. It had a timing chain and I changed the oil twice a year.
14 years '05 to '`19 About 2700 mi between changes. 5th month and 11th month May and Nov.
(The idea was to prepare it for the change of season each year.) The place has windows customers watch.
They vacuum the floors, put air in the tires, and fill up every fluid, even the battery.
They have a car wash, so they give you a free car wash with an oil change. You can't save money doing it yourself.
