Massive coolant leak 454 Vortec

I have a 97 suburban I was just driving and it started pouring coolant. I checked all the hoses on the passenger side and it doesn't seem to be them. I tried putting some distilled water in to see where it was coming from and it pours out the water between the bellhousing and the starter after I get about half a gallon in can't find any houses around in the area I'm stranded in a parking lot help asap where is it coming from the top of the motor looks dry and as far down by the distributor cap as I can see it is dry

I accelerated hard because someone came racing up behind me and I did hear a pop noise like a radiator hose blew but all the hoses seem to be dry going to the rear heat and the ones around the exhaust manifold

You could have a freeze out plug that rusted and blew out.

Is there a freeze out plug on the backside of the block behind the flex plate between the transmission and motor
