Ok I have a 1997 suburban 1500 Ls 5.7 vortex that I can't get started, I've replaced fuel pump, fuel filter, crank sensor, battery, starter, distributer, and still won't start...it cranks tho...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

did you correctly install the distributor?
did you correctly install the plug wires in the proper sequence?
what is the fuel pressure reading?

Just had a mechanic here and he told me something that didn't make any sense.....so my suburban was running fine after I replaced all of the things i stated before, I couldn't get it started so I took it to a shop and they got it going so I drove it and put about 3000 miles all in about a two week period..but I went outside to start it and it wouldn't...so today the mechanic told me that it was the distributor that I needed a new cap and rotor even tho they are brand new..he says its out of timing, he said that it jumped time...idk don't make any sense to me

didn't he point out exactly what was wrong with the cap and rotor?
the only way it will "jump" time is if the distributor hold down bolt is loose or the timing chain is shot.

How many miles on it? Could be a worn and stretched timing chain like Zora said.
