I have an 04 V6 LT that I had to replace the rear springs on after one broke. Went to Autozone and got the CC81369 that are called for by everyone (rock auto, advance auto, some posts on here). Issue you can see below, springs almost touch when under weight of the car and after 4 months I get the same clunking that sounds like the spring did when they were broken...but this time the sound is from the springs hitting one another. Anyone have any ideas on this? Could there be another spring?

that's the correct part number, show that to autozone and they should give you a new set. You aren't overloading the vehicle and the shocks are OK?

New set is already on the way, just something does not look right. They look too compressed.

Vehicle is not overloaded. The car is stock with nothing but a car seat in the back. Shocks are new also, but that should not make any difference.

are both ends of the spring identical, there is no top?
