was wondering if someone could ballpark hp for me...I have a 357 with a edelbrock torque intake..heads off of a 305 with 2.02 int valves and 1.60 exh..roller rockers..572 lift cam..flat top pistons...don't know alot about chevy stuff but I just got a 78 nova..any info is appreciated thanx

what carburetor and size? what is the compression ratio? How did you come up with a size of 357?

not sure on compression the carb is a 650 holley..and 357 cause its .40 over

The carburetor size is about average for a 350 + engine, the compression is probably low with flat tops, the intake is for 2,500 to 6,500 and the cam is high lift at .572. A guess would be 375 HP gross.

Alright thanx...I heard puttin 305 heads on a 350 will Rais compression is that true

from the chart below you can see that the 305's seem to have 58cc combustion chambers which are small compared to say a 64cc 350 high compression head. Without knowing all the specific measurements of the engine build though, other than some type of flat top piston, compression probably is not to high to make the use of pump gas practical.
