I am a technology junkie, but I hate planned obsolescence. I cringe sometimes at all of the electronic gadgets built in to autos these days that will be obsolete before the warranty's expire. Lord help us when they go bad and aren't covered. I prefer add-ons that I can integrate myself.

Has anyone added a backup camera to their 'burb? I see that Autozone has one that is wireless for only $129.

How much is the one at Autozone? You provided an Advance Auto Parts link!

Sorry, it is Autoparts, not Autozone. I think my spellchecker kicked in. I have no experience with this company. I would suggest Googling wireless cameras to see how the products rate. This link was only an example.

Crutchfield has wireless versions for $170-$180 and they are not all license plate cameras. I think for a 'burb you'll want to mount it higher.

What would be cool is to find one that fits the stereo radio replacement pocket I installed when I canned the old obsolete system and put in the center dash unit.
